Email is listed in the syllabus of class 10th of HPBOSE. Through this article, I will show you the basic but important concept related to this topic. So, let's get started. 

What is E-mail?

E-mail is the short form of Electronic mail. It allows us to send and receive email in any part of any world. Email uses various protocols. 

What is E-mail?

Email is a text based mail consisting of lines of text and can include attachments such as audio messages, pictures and documents. For making a new email account we must have to define email address and password. Some of the major email service providing services are Google, Yahoo, Hotmail etc.



Basic form of email address


Email address consists of two sections:
  1. Username
  2. Hostname
An email address  looks like

Username@hostname 

The username is written in left and hostname(like gmail.com, yahoo.in) is written in right. Between username and hostname '@' is written.

Components of email

1. Compose:

Every time you will see a compose button. It is used to write a new email.

2. Inbox:

Inbox oxx is a  place where current email is stored. 

3. Sent Email:

With the help of this option we see all the emails that we have sent.

4. Drafts:

With the help of this option we access all the email that we have started but not send yet.

5. Starred:

By clicking on this option we can see all the email we have Starred.

6. Spam

It is a folder where unwanted emails are placed.

7. Trash

We can see all the emails that we have deleted with the help of this option.
